Lockheed Martin [LMT] said the Gravity Probe B that it built for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration was launched into space from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California yesterday. During its 16-month mission, GP-B will attempt to verify two subtle physical effects predicted by Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity.
