A U.S. Air Force/Lockheed Martin Space Systems [LMT] team has completed on-orbit checkout of the upgraded GPS satellite, designated GPS IIR-11, which was successfully launched March 20, Lockheed Martin officials said yesterday. The launch of GPS IIR-12 is scheduled for June 4 from Cape Canaveral, Fla.
