China plans to launch 10 satellites this year as part of a significant expansion of its space program, according to a Chinese aerospace official quoted in Business Daily Update. The satellites will be large-scale spacecraft with a mission life of 15 years. Last year, China launched six satellites into orbit. There are 16 Chinese satellites currently operating in orbit.
