Italy’s Alitalia has become the first airline to offer the Data3mail in-flight email service developed by ASI Entertainment [OTC: ASIQ].

Following the installation of ASI’s hardware and software platform, a comprehensive ground test and certification program culminated in a four-hour test flight over Rome on an Alitalia Boeing 767. During the flight, e-mails were sent and received in real-time by Alitalia personnel via Inmarsat‘s global satellite constellation, using the Data3 packet data link.
