[Satellite TODAY 05-14-10] Taiwan-based Helioversal Technology has ordered mass production volumes of GPS and GSM modules from U-blox for integration with Helioversal’s miniBee GPS Tracker, U-blox announced May 13.
    U-blox will supply its Amy GPS and Leon GSM modules to Helioversal’s miniBee unit, which aims to provide real-time tracking and logging of global position. The miniBee GPS Tracker also provides functions such as accumulated distance recording, geo-fencing, towing, over-speed and accident alert. The unit’s location and status is continuously displayed on standard web-based map platforms.  
    “Dealing with u-blox as a single-source for GSM and GPS components simplified technical support as well as logistics,” Helioversal General Manager Jason Shen said in a statement.
