[Satellite Today 02-24-09] Stratos Global Corp. expanded its Asia-Pacific customer-support infrastructure with the opening of a Hong Kong customer support center, the company announced Feb. 23. The center offers local-language support to customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
    Stratos, which is building on a network of Asia-Pacific operations, established its regional warehouse in Hong Kong in early 2008. In the Asia-Pacific region, Stratos supports customers via its network of offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, Auckland and throughout Australia. Stratos’ Tokyo-based joint venture, JSAT Mobile, supports the Japanese market.
    “We believe we are well positioned to serve this vital region for many years to come,” Stratos President and CEO Jim Parm said in a statement.
