STN Taps Elemental for Broadcast Equipment

[Via Satellite 06-06-2016] Satellite Telecommunications Network (STN) is using Elemental Technologies video processing to power a unified headend to deliver both broadcast and Over-the-Top (OTT) television content. Elemental is providing software-defined video solutions to boost operational efficiencies for the teleport operator.
Based in Slovenia, STN has grown from a European to a global customer base, offering more than 650 channels. The company, which has also scaled up through new antennas from CPI’s ASC Signal Division, is expanding into new markets both by geography and by vertical.
