ABS-CBN International launched triple-play services following a technology upgrade at its San Francisco International Gateway satellite uplink center in Richmond, Calif., the company announced.

ABS-CBN, the U.S. subsidiary of ABS-CBN Broadcasting of the Philippines, acquired the facility in November from Loral Space & Communications and received a license from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission in April.

The uplink center, which hosts 18 antennas, provides services for the Northern California area for access to communication satellites serving North America, Latin America and select European satellites.
