G&S SatCom and Intelsat entered a technology agreement to implement an AI platform aimed at refining Intelsat’s multi-orbit service offerings, G&S SatCom announced on March 3.

This collaboration will enable multi-orbit service management, including Intelsat’s Geostationary satellites (GEO) and Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) network partners through advanced orchestration and automation techniques. G&S SatCom said phased rollouts are planned over the next three years and customers will see results of the technology partnership as early as mid-2025.

The companies said integrating G&S SatConnect will optimize Intelsat’s hybrid network. A key feature of this is the introduction of a virtual agent, which will enhance self-service capabilities, streamline customer onboarding, and provide multilingual support. Additionally, an AI-powered live chat system will be implemented for routing cases to support engineers.

The agreement aligns with Intelsat’s multi-orbit strategy, including recent collaborations with Greenerwave for smart multi-orbit terminals and hiSky for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity solutions.

“This is an opportunity for both companies to combine our respective capabilities and leadership positions in our fields to jointly deliver an entirely new service experience for satellite communications users,” said David Schmitz, CEO of G&S SatCom.
