SES Astra Techcom and partner Hitec Luxembourg will provide a pair telemetry, tracking and control antenna systems for Europe’s global satellite navigation system, Galileo, SES announced June 19. Under the contract, the companies will design, build and install a pair of 13-meter antennas — one in the Arctic circle and one near the equator — as well as train personnel. The antennas are expected to be operational in late 2007.
