General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems was awarded an $8.3 million contract to provide development, analysis, operations and support of the GPS Interference And Navigation Tool (GIANT).

GIANT, a simulation tool and mission-planning aid used to determine navigation system performance and its impact on weapons system effectiveness, has more than 200 registered users spanning the acquisition, test, intelligence and operations communities.

The order was issued under a blanket purchase agreement by the U.S. General Services Administration‘s Federal Technology Service, Greater Southwest Region, and runs through March 13, 2011. Work will be performed for the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center Strategic Plans and Development Directorate in Los Angeles.
