WIA To Host Panel Discussion On National Security Space On March 30
Women in Aerospace (WIA) will be hosting a panel discussion that will examine the utilization of space-based assets for national security. Economic realities are forcing the U.S. government to become more innovative in using space-based assets for national security. This panel will discuss the current innovative efforts within National Security Space and what is being done to further encourage innovation in this arena. Scheduled speakers for this discussion include Amy Alving of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and Pete Rustan of the National Reconnaissance Office.
The discussion will take place March 30 in room 2325 of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., with an opportunity for networking with industry professionals beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event is free for WIA members and $5 for non-members.
