NASA Swift Satellite Finally Launches
After a few delays, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration‘s (NASA) Swift satellite, which will be used to observe the formation of black holes, finally launched at 12:17 p.m. EST from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida last Saturday. The satellite was launched on a Boeing [BA]-built Delta II rocket.
