Satellite Today has learned the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the French National Space Centre signed an agreement late last week to move forward on their Megha-Tropiques atmospheric satellite mission. ISRO would build and launch the spacecraft in the 2008-09 timeframe. After launch, the spacecraft then would collect scientific data on tropical regions, specifically the contribution of the water cycle in the tropical atmosphere to climate dynamics.
