BMW Of North America LLC will make available Sirius Satellite Radio [SIRI] equipment as a factory installed option on the 2006 model year BMW 3 Series sedans, starting next summer. The receiver will come with a $595 suggested price tag and will include one year of Sirius radio service.

Mercedes-Benz USA said equipment to receive Sirius broadcasts in its 2005 SKL350 Roadster has been specifically designed for the car and fully integrated into that car’s audio system. The radio is available as a dealer-installed option for $679 plus installation. The cost includes a one-year subscription plus two bonus months of service.

VCNA, a part of the Volvo Car Corp., said that certain 2005 model year Volvo automobiles, including the S80, S60, V70 and XC70, will have Sirius satellite radio receivers available as a dealer-installed option. Pricing has not yet been announced.
