Boeing Teams With Fortune 50 IT Company

      The Boeing Co. [BA] plans to form an alliance with a Fortune 50 IT company that would enable the two companies to develop and deploy systems to enhance U.S. military communications, intelligence operations and homeland security by using satellites. A live network-centric operations demonstration is planned for today to show how information management systems tap into and use global digital data banks for instant information access and decision-making for defense and homeland security users. Jim Albaugh, president and CEO of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, said Boeing has placed a big priority on tapping opportunities to provide satellite communities and network-centric capabilities to the U.S. military.
