By Staff Writer | March 16, 2004

Triangle MultiMedia [QBID], a Palm Springs, Calif.-based satellite TV network, is creating a 24-hour channel aimed at gay and lesbian audiences. The channel will air original plays, movies and documentaries as well as sports, travel and lifestyle programming.

Network Teleports will coordinate the launch, Web-casting and satellite uplink on a C-band satellite whose footprint reaches all of North America. The channel is expected to begin offering sample programming in May on both satellite and cable systems. Ultimately, the channel will be available on a subscription basis, officials with Triangle MultiMedia said.
