[Satellite TODAY 03-23-11] Kore Telematics, a machine-to-machine (M2M) communications provider, expanded its global M2M network services to feature enhanced cellular data network services supported by global satellite delivery for connected devices, the company announced March 22.
Kore’s M2M network services will now be available in more than 170 countries. The network supports IP data communications, SMS and short-burst data satellite network services. The company said the service expansion was the result of its technology partnership with Vodafone Group and Iridium Communications.
“The global adoption of M2M applications requires uninterrupted, reliable data communications regardless of geographic location. Whether tracking cargo or receiving critical medical data from a traveling patient, our application partners and their customers will benefit from ubiquitous wireless coverage around the world where and when they need it,” Kore Telematics President and COO Alex Brisbourne said in a statement.
