[Satellite TODAY 01-15-10] Gilat Satellite Systems’ SkyEdge 2 DVB-RCS VSAT has received SatLabs Group compliance, Gilat announced Jan. 14.
SatLabs gave the VSAT system a version 1.3 certification, which includes an enhanced feature set, DVB-S2 at the forward channel and advanced quality of service for interactive prioritization of voice, video and data.
“It is an important phase within the SatLabs Qualification Program to have Gilat once again prove its commitment to the DVB-RCS standard by successfully completing our new compliance phase,” SatLabs Chairman Xavier Lobao said in a statement.
