[Satellite TODAY 12-01-09] Stratos Global Corp. has been contracted to install Inmarsat’s FleetBroadband 150 (FB150) mobile broadband satellite service on Zakher Marine International’s (ZMI) shipping vessels, Stratos announced Nov. 30.
Working with its channel partner Monarch Telecom, Stratos has already activated FB150 service onboard six ZMI vessels, which provide anchor handling, supply and towage for the merchant marine and offshore oil and gas industries in the Middle East.
ZMI is also deploying Stratos’ AmosConnect messaging service with each FB150 system installed.
