[Satellite Today 06-03-09] Newtec has shipped 50,000 of its Sat3Play terminals in Europe, the company announced June 2.
The Sat3Play broadband terminal implements technologies such as DVB-S2 modulation and IP traffic enhancement techniques such as TCP/IP acceleration and pre-fetching as well as encryption. SES Astra is Newtec’s largest customer in the region.
“SES Astra and various other service providers all over Europe and North Africa have contributed to this success by offering low cost Internet services together with Newtec’s easy-to-install technology,” Newtec CEO Serge Van Herck said in a statement.
