[Satellite Today 04-07-09] International Launch Services (ILS) launched a Proton Breeze-M rocket carrying the W2A satellite for Eutelsat, ILS announced April 4.
The W2A satellite, built by Thales Alenia Space, is the 27th in Eutelsat’s fleet and will operat at 10 degrees East.
The spacecraft carried three payloads — Eutelsat’s C-band and Ku-band payloads to provide Europe, Africa and the Middle East with video and business services and an S-band payload that will be managed by Solaris Mobile, a joint venture established by Eutelsat and SES Astra.
