Wavestream, a manufacturer of high-efficiency solid-state power amplifiers (SSPAs) has named Francis S. Auricchio, Jr. as executive vice president of engineering and technology. Auricchio will manage and oversee Wavestream’s engineering and technology operations.

Auricchio arrives from Boeing Satellite Systems, where he focused on design, development and production of SSPAs and low-noise amplifiers (LNA). He held several management positions with Boeing, responsible for the management of major external development efforts and internal research and development activities including resource allocation, risk assessment, investigation and evaluation of new devices and the development of microwave and millimeter wave amplifiers.
