The U.S. government awarded Geoeye a $19.6 million contract to provide imagery, products and services to multiple federal agencies, the company announced Aug. 2. Under the contract, Geoeye will supply imagery from its constellation of Earth-imaging satellites to federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the National Park Service and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, for mapping and environmental monitoring.
