Alltel said that beginning this summer, the company would offer its telephony subscribers the option of subscribing to EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network satellite television service as part of a discounted bundled package. The company has not yet revealed the pricing or promotions associated with the Dish offer.

“Adding TV service to our voice and broadband offering will provide greater value and convenience to our local telephone customers,” John Koch, president of wireline services for Alltel said in a prepared statement.
