Tachyon Networks Inc. said it is expanding the delivery of its IP-based satellite broadband access services to Asia, the Pacific Rim, Latin America and Africa in the coming year. Tachyon is expanding its geographic services areas in response to customer demand, the company said. The first new service area to be added will enable satellite broadband services in Afghanistan, China and Southeast Asia.

“Our customers are expressing the need for expanded global service to support their international growth plans,” Tachyon President and CEO Peter Carides said in a prepared statement.
