BAE Systems Opens STC

BAE Systems is celebrating the opening of the newly upgraded Semiconductor Technology Center (STC) along with the company’s 25th anniversary May 10 at its headquarters in Manassas, Va. The STC upgrade consists of two projects. The first, managed by the DTRA, established the semiconductor and the fabrication process. The second was a partnership between the DPA Title II program and BAE Systems, aimed at upgrading tools and equipment on spacecraft. These upgrades will help ensure satellites launched during the next decade will have systems capable of surviving the effects of radiation in space.
