Alcatel Space plans to install a new acoustic chamber for satellite environment tests, and it should be operational in May 2005. The company decided to build this new test facility to keep pace with the growth in telecom satellites. Alcatel Space is investing $7.2 million in the new chamber, which will be located in its Cannes plant on the French Riviera.
