ActSoft officials said yesterday that a new version of Comet Tracker would be released. Comet Tracker uses Global Positioning System (GPS) technology available on Java- enabled handsets to instantly track the locations, tasks and hours of mobile employees, to dispatch jobs efficiently, and to monitor delivery progress. New features include the ability to import or export business information. Comet Tracker is priced at $17 a month per phone and offers integrated bar code scanning.
