Sirius Hires Senior VP Of Marketing

      Sirius Satellite Radio [SIRI], a New York City-based satellite radio service, today announced the appointment of Tola Murphy-Baran as senior vice president of marketing. Murphy-Baran will be responsible for subscriber acquisition and retention, direct and online marketing, and all sports marketing and promotion. She will report directly to Mary Pat Ryan, executive vice president of marketing.

      Murphy-Baran joins Sirius with more than 25 years of marketing experience. Most recently, she was senior vice president of market development at the National Football League. Murphy-Baran was the founder and general manager of “NFL Sunday Ticket,” the first premium subscription business in televised sports. Prior to this, she served as vice president of market development at Viacom Satellite Networks.
