Skybox Imaging Now Terra Bella

[Via Satellite 03-09-2016] Skybox Imaging, a Google company, is now working under a new name: Terra Bella. The new name represents a change in the company’s vision, which goes beyond “boxes in the sky.” However, the company will continue building spacecraft while pursuing new ventures in satellite technologies, including the search for patterns of change in the physical world.

Terra Bella currently has more than a dozen satellites under development scheduled to launch over the next few years. The company will now also work with a wide array of geospatial data sources, machine learning capabilities and experts to transform raw imagery into data.
