NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
To my dear friends and colleagues in the satellite community. First and foremost, I want to wish you good health and safety over the next few months as we continue to battle the Coronavirus on many fronts. We are living in unprecedented times as most of us get used to this ‘new normal’ and remote working, finding new ways to continue to connect with others and consume information digitally.
Via Satellite has been serving the community for more than 30 years. We have lived through many major global events, but I believe it is fair to say that this one is the biggest of all when we assess the impact it will have on all of us. Our community and the technology it provides will be vital as we navigate the path forward, from providing unique data, boosting tele-health operations around the world, to simply entertaining us as we isolate ourselves like never before. The satellite industry often does its best work when the global community need it most.
As the Editorial Director of Via Satellite, I assure you that we will work for you, to keep you informed, entertained and provide you with the information you need as we all adapt to the ‘new normal’. I am proud to be part of an amazing team at Access Intelligence who have worked tirelessly to serve this community. Our editorial team of myself, Jeff Hill, Rachel Jewett and Annamarie Nyirady will continue to work to provide you with great content over the next few months. As content creators, this is an interesting time, but we are eager to step up to the challenge of bringing you content in more creative ways and trying new concepts as we look to engage with our audience/community.
We will have more webcasts, virtual events, videos and interviews than ever before. Stay tuned for more information, we’ll keep the community informed as we firm up these plans. In the meantime, you can stay informed and entertained through our podcast, On Orbit, the digital edition of Via Satellite, watch any of our webinars for free and follow us on social media.
I will end as I started, by wishing you all the best for the difficult months ahead. We look forward to continuing to work with this amazing community and provide you moments of entertainment, as well as information about how industry will evolve and adapt over the next few months. It is our privilege, and one we don’t take lightly. All the best and stay safe.
