Axess Networks has won a new deal in the maritime arena, the company announced April 3. Teleserve P/F, a Faroe Islands based communications service provider, will work with Axess Networks Maritime, a subsidiary of Axess Networks and deliver connectivity services for their clients’ maritime operations in Northern Europe. The deal with TeleServe P/F marks a step for Axess as it looks to become a chosen connectivity provider in and around Scandinavia.

Axess Maritime will deliver a semi-global satellite connectivity service to Teleserve’s fleet of 14 general cargo vessels, supporting their activities in and around the North Sea through a bespoke 2-beam iDirect Ku network solution. Teleserve will have access to Axess Maritime’s advanced vessel monitoring portal offering the ability to track real-time vessel performance whilst requesting bandwidth upgrade and downgrade on demand.

“With our expanded semi-global network stretching to the crucial areas of Northern Norway and the Faroe Islands, Teleserve found in Axess Maritime the ideal partner for their end-to-end managed connectivity needs. As one of Faroe Islands key maritime service providers, we are looking forward to further expanding our partnership with such a well-established service provider in the maritime industry,” Billy Hansen at Teleserve P/F, said in a statement.
