British low-cost airline EasyJet is adopting in-flight connectivity (IFC) for the first time with a deal to roll out SpaceX‘s Starlink across its modern Airbus fleet.

EasyJet announced Monday that Starlink will be deployed starting in the first half of 2027 across its modern A320, A320neo and A321neo fleet. The roll out is expected to be completed by early 2028.

The airline said it aims to attract more business and leisure customers with the IFC service, to support streaming, gaming, and checking flight information while in the air.

EasyJet operates 355 aircraft and flies routes across 38 countries. According to its most recent fleet update, it flies 180 A320 planes; 75 A320neo planes; and 22 A321neo planes.

“Innovation is in easyJet’s DNA and partnering with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s high-speed internet connectivity onboard for the first time will not only further enhance the experience we provide millions of customers, but means we are offering more of the options both business and leisure travellers want when they choose who they fly with,” commented EasyJet CEO Kenton Jarvis.

This marks more momentum for Starlink in the aviation market after it recently landed a deal for American Airlines’ full mainline fleet. Starlink is contracted for roughly 12,000 planes, SpaceX said in its investor update last week.
