Tototheo Maritime Taps SES for Connectivity Services

SES has a signed a five-year deal with Tototheo Maritime, a Cyprus-based maritime communications company, to bring data connectivity services to Tototheo’s customers. This will be done via SES Networks’ Skala Global Platform.

SES Networks’ Skala Global Platform’s flexible bandwidth management, advanced automatic beam switching, and sophisticated network management system will allow crew and operators to take utilize connectivity-powered services that aim to boost profitability, efficiency, and crew welfare. The companies said Tototheo Maritime’s customers will benefit from an efficient communication Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) network that optimizes fleet operations and cost efficiency, while enabling crew to stay connected to their families.

The maritime sector is a key target market for SES, given its success with high-profile cruise companies such as Carnival and Royal Caribbean.
