Speedcast International, a global provider of remote communications and Information Technology (IT) solutions, can now serve customers with a one meter or larger antenna with its Speedcast Bandwidth on Demand service — a portfolio of services that allows short-term upgrades and includes regional Ku-band and C-band services. This service provides yachting, commercial maritime, and Energy customers the flexibility to upgrade bandwidth for a period of time on very short notice.

Bandwidth on Demand removes long-term contractual commitment, giving customers the freedom to sign up for short-term hourly, daily, or weekly unlimited usage, and with the ability to upgrade with only two-hours of notice. Upgrades and downgrades can be performed easily on an as-needed basis via a customer portal on the Speedcast Bandwidth on Demand website.

Speedcast also revealed a new portfolio of Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) plans that will meet an extensive set of customer requirements. All of the plans come with Committed Information Rate (CIR), which provides customers with a guaranteed level of performance. The plans are also supported by a global Ku-band network with advanced cybersecurity protection, ensuring bandwidth availability in the maritime and offshore energy markets.
