StandardAero Brings Honeywell JetWave to European Gulfstream Jets

StandardAero will now be able to install Honeywell JetWave Ka-band satellite communications systems and radome equipment on Gulfstream GV/GV-SP aircraft registered in Europe after receiving a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The STC allows StandardAero to immediately fulfill radome orders with no quantity restrictions and provide installation services at its maintenance facility in Springfield, Illinois. This is the second STC that StandardAero has received from EASA to install JetWave systems on Gulfstream aircraft. In December 2017, the company completed an STC program using Honeywell JetWave and Inmarsat GX Ka-band satellite network for U.S.-based Gulfstream GV and GV-SP operators.

Honeywell’s JetWave satellite communications hardware connects to Inmarsat’s Global Xpress (GX) Ka-band satellite constellation and provides Jet ConneX service to operators at 15 Mbps.
