Rolls-Royce’s 2018 Phantom, one of the most technologically advanced cars ever built by the company, features a satellite-aided transmission that pre-selects gears based on the car’s geographic location. The Rolls-Royce transmission, which is linked to a GPS receiver, is able to determine the road and conditions in real time to anticipate how and when to shift gears.
