Canadian North Airlines will use Iridium Satellite LLC’s global satellite network for flight data applications, the Mobile Satellite Services provider said.
Canadian North will be installing the Iridium-based AFIRS data collection and transmission system from Calgary-based AeroMechanical Services Ltd. on its fleet of Boeing 737 cargo/passenger aircraft. AFIRS supplies near-real time data on the aircraft to corporate headquarters.
