[Satellite TODAY 11-18-11] Satellite distributor MIL-SAT Communications has selected Cobham’s Sea Tel 2.4-meter 9797B marine stabilized satellite communication terminals to fulfill a recently awarded U.S. Navy contract, the companies confirmed Nov. 17.

   The $11.9 million firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded to MIL-SAT by the U.S. Navy requires a supply of Sea Tel antenna systems for the Force Training Assessment Department at the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center. This contract’s value to Cobham was not disclosed.

   Cobham said the work performed under this contract is scheduled for completion by September 2016.
