[Satellite TODAY 09-12-11] Satcom terminal solutions provider Skyware Global has introduced its new Cielo Ka-band product line comprised of two complete outdoor units — the Cielo 69 and the Cielo 98, the company announced Sept. 9.

   The fully integrated units are a combination of Skyware’s 69cm Ka-band and the 98cm Ka-band antennas with Skyware’s Cielo Ka-band VSAT transceiver. The new products feature a field-adjustable waveguide polarizer and high-efficiency feed horn in a compact housing unit. Skyware said the transceiver is compatible to operate with any industry standard VSAT modem.

   “This breakthrough product will lead the way for next-generation VSATs in Ka-band. We’re continuing to develop the platform to allow for optimization in both government and commercial applications and serving transportable as well as stationary customer needs; strengthening our reputation for being at the forefront of this rapidly-evolving technology,” Skyware Global Senior Vice President of Engineering Steve Strong said in a statement.
