[Satellite TODAY 11-19-09] Thuraya signed a distribution deal with Applied Satellite Technology (AST) in efforts to drive a stronger take-up of its mobile broadband services in Europe, the company announced, Nov 18.
AST, a U.K.-based satellite communications provider, will distribute ThurayaIP in Europe and other global markets. The operator has already been working with AST internationally to distribute other Thuraya services.
The ThurayaIP service aims to provide broadband connectivity within the company’s 140-country coverage area spanning from Iceland to Australia.
