[Satellite TODAY 09-11-09] Globecomm Systems reported a 12.8 percent decrease in revenues to $49.2 million from $56.4 million in 2008, in its fiscal 2009 fourth quarter results, released Sept. 10.
While Globecomm’s service revenues increased 54.1 percent to a company-high $24.7 million driven by its acquisitions of Mach 6 and Telaurus, which combined a contributed $4.8 million, growth was offset in the quarter by a 39.3 percent decrease in infrastructure solution revenues to $24.5 million.
The company blamed the global economic crisis for the decrease and said that government and commercial customers, as well as other prospects, were delaying projects because of it.
Net income for the company`s fiscal 2009 fourth quarter decreased to $1.0 million compared to net income of $16.9 million in the same quarter in 2008.
