[Satellite Today 09-08-09] SES Americom-New Skies re-branded to SES World Skies, the company announced Sept. 7.
Rob Bednarek, president and CEO of SES World Skies, said that its future global expansion plans, including the launch the NSS-12 satellite providing coverage over Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean region, made the re-branding necessary.
“SES World Skies is global satellite operator serving six continents, and traversing three oceans with innovative and robust solutions as diverse as our customer base,” said Bednarek, in a statement.
SES World Skies has a fleet of 25 satellites within the 40-satellite global SES fleet and six additional spacecraft slated for launch over the next two years.
