Envistacom, a technology company that offers counterterrorism, cyber and communications solutions to the United States and coalition partners, has awarded UltiSat a subcontract to provide Tier 2 technical support of its teleport and Regional Hub Node (RHN) at the Enterprise Satellite Communications Gateway Facility (ESG-L) located in Landstuhl, Germany.

As part of this subcontract, UltiSat is supporting the operations and maintenance of multiple systems at the ESG-L, including the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS), Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP), teleport, and RHN. These systems provide vital communications links for deployed U.S. Army and Joint Forces in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for training and operational missions.

The Landstuhl Teleport is the largest U.S. Army satcom facility overseas and provides U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) warfighters anywhere on the ground, air, and sea on five continents and three oceans with the communications necessary to conduct defense operations.

On Aug. 9, the U.S. Army awarded Envistacom a $10 million, five-year contract to support the U.S. Army 2nd Theater Signal Brigade and 102nd Strategic Signal Battalion, with the work carried out at the Landstuhl facility.
