Andrew Solutions Releases 1-Meter Microwave Antenna
Andrew Solutions unveiled a 1-meter microwave backhaul antenna under its ValuLine Vision product line.
The ValuLine Vision antenna’s electrical design aims to enhance radiation pattern performance and gain levels compliant to high regulatory standards. The antenna mount allows for gradual adjustments in order to simplify antenna alignment under adverse conditions, including winds up to 250 kilometers per hour.
The antenna, available in single- and dual-polarized models, will be available from Andrew’s four microwave manufacturing facilities around the globe.
Dielectric Unveils New Low-Power Digital Antennas, Filters
Dielectric Communications is launching a line of digital antennas and filters targeting low-power television (LPTV) broadcasters.
The product line aims to provide cost-effective solutions for LPTV broadcasters in advance of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) open filing window for digital LPTV stations and trzmodifications to existing analog and digital stations, and digital companion channels.
Harris Upgrades Playout Facility in the Middle East
Harris Corp. has provided its Harris One end-to-end broadcast channel playout solution to Rotana TV in order to upgrade the broadcaster’s central master control room.
Harris provided Rotana with Nexio technology, automation, servers, master control switchers, branding systems, routers, multiviewers and processing equipment.
As part of the upgrade, Systems Design, a local systems integrator and Harris dealer, was contracted to handle the complete setup of the master control room at the headquarters of Egyptian telecommunications company Nilesat under the Rotana network.
ICS, Squire Tech Release Turnkey Mobile Solution
Incident Communications Solutions (ICS), an IP-centric mobile and tactical communication solutions provider, has partnered with Squire Tech Solutions to roll out with the ICS pCom 355, a self-contained communication solution.
The ICS pCom 355 is a turnkey communications solution that includes a tactical incident communications system, a Comms-One SUV and other mobile command systems featuring advanced IP networking and communications. The system also offers a seven-day, diesel fuel supply, power generation system, auto-acquisition satellite antenna, NEMA4X equipment enclosure, and pneumatic tower on a small trailer-based platform.
The ICS pCom targets the public safety, military and civilian federal markets.
Skymira Remote Management Solution Goes Hybrid
Skymira, a provider of satellite and cellular technology for remote operations management, has enhanced its TailorFit solutions by combining its electronic forms and telemetry/SCADA services.
The enhancement, which combines services and separate satellite network data into a single application, aims to provide customers with real-time operating status of remotely located equipment under their care while operating in harsh terrain.
Winegard Releases New RoadTrip Antenna
Winegard has introduced the RoadTrip Minimax, an in-motion RV satellite TV antenna with a 20-inch diameter. The fully automatic antenna is equipped with a one-button on and off control located inside the RV and DVB technology to enable the antenna to lock onto signals while automatically toggling between satellites while parked or driving. Customers will be able to receive standard- and high-definition programing from Dish Network and Bell TV as well as standard definition programming from DirecTV.
