Xicom Technology: A Leader in High-Power SATCOM Amplifier Products
Xicom Technology, Inc. was established in 1991 and is a technology leader in the development and manufacturing of high-power amplifier products for worldwide commercial and military satcom markets. Amplifiers include traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs), solid-state power amplifiers (SSPAs) and Klystron power amplifiers (KPAs) operating in a wide range of communication frequencies. Amplifier products are available for fixed location and mobile applications and are packaged in rackmount and antenna-mount ODU configurations.
Xicom maintains an extensive product line of tube-based amplifiers and SSPAs. Highly regarded for its reliable output power and efficiency, Xicom TWTAs and KPAs are used in broadcast and broadband applications throughout the world. Xicom high-power amplifiers (HPAs) provide power levels vital to satellite communication applications, both traditional broadcast, the direct-to-home, satellite-news-gathering and flyaway markets, and emerging broadband, specifically the Internet protocol (IP)-over-satellite market.
Xicom continues the expansion of its revolutionary "shoebox-sized" block up-converters (BUCs) for mobile satcom applications with some of the smallest and lightest feature-rich BUCs available today. The family has been increased to include new models that operate in the C-, X-, Ku-, extended Ku-, and Ka-band satcom frequencies.
These new antenna-mount BUCs are designed to meet the most demanding requirements for size, weight and high reliability. The units have been specifically designed for rugged, outdoor, mobile environments.
