Loral Skynet signed an agreement with BtnAccess to launch Skyreach communication services in Asia, Loral announced June 27.

The Skyreach service will be powered by an iDirect Internet protocol (IP) hub at the BtnAccess teleport in Hong Kong. Skynet will combine satellite capacity on its Telstar 10 and Telstar 18 satellites with teleport and terrestrial communications services provided by BtnAccess to provide an IP-based network.

Skyreach provides users with Internet and private networking services, including broadband Internet access, voice over IP and managed data services.

The Skyreach service will be available in Asia July 1, Loral said.
