Hughes Network Systems has released a new product family of ruggedized cases for its transportable terminals for Eutelsat’s OneWeb network. The electronically steerable antenna terminals are now available with transportable IP67-rated pop-up cases built by C-COM Satellite Systems

Eutelsat said the certification of the Hughes terminals for communications-on-the-pause expands the connectivity options it can offer customers.

The terminals are designed to be plug-and-play for rapid setup for mission-critical communications in temporary environments and harsh conditions like emergency response, disaster preparedness, land-based oil and gas exploration, and cell on wheels (COWs) for telcos.

“Every moment without connectivity in the field is a moment of risk—whether that’s lost revenue, delayed response, or compromised safety,” said Royce Hernandez, vice president of Mobility Products at Hughes. “We designed our ESA terminals for the real world: where communications need to be up fast, perform in rugged environments, and move when you do. Our customers know that Hughes delivers when it matters most.”
