Gilat Satellite Network Ltd. announced June 28 that it signed an agreement with Sputnik Telecommunications Entertainment Co. under which Gilat will deploy its Skyedge hub in Moscow and VSAT terminals throughout the Russian federation.

The new system will enable network online gaming for Sputnik’s customers and will serve as an independent network within Sputnik’s internal organization to facilitate the transfer of data, video conferencing, voice over Internet protocol (IP) and broadband IP.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
